Human experience has shaped how I lead.
Rooted in people. Driven by purpose. Focused on impact.
I partner with communities, organizations, and decision-makers to build more equitable systems, expand opportunity, amplify overlooked voices, and shape responsible AI with human impact at the center.
My Story
My path has been shaped by classrooms, community spaces, nonprofit leadership, advocacy, and conversations about technology and ethics.
I began my career believing that meaningful change starts with access. Through Induz, I built arts education programs for children who were too often excluded from creative opportunities. That experience taught me how to turn an idea into an organization, build partnerships, mobilize volunteers, raise resources, and grow a mission across communities.
My work later expanded into community building, communications, and domestic violence advocacy. Across each of these areas, I saw how systems can either support people or deepen exclusion, especially when decisions are made without understanding power, vulnerability, culture, and lived experience.
Today, I bring that same human-centered perspective to AI ethics and governance. I examine not only whether a system works, but who it affects, whose experiences may be missing, where harm can occur, and what safeguards are needed.

Celebrating Everyday with Piya
Through my YouTube channel, Celebrating Everyday with Piya, I built an audience of more than 53,000 subscribers around solo female travel, culture, food, tea, and everyday life.
The channel reflects another side of my work: turning lived experience into accessible stories that build trust, encourage curiosity, and help people see places and cultures through a more personal lens.
Producing the channel has strengthened my experience in audience development, on-camera communication, video storytelling, content strategy, and community engagement.
